2012 polo GTI Engine noise

Yeah i constantly check my oil and keep it topped up PITA , the noise when idling i believe to be tappet or injector noise .

If a rotary engine used as much oil as my VW it would be all over the news yet VW get away with it because its a piston engine , maybe a letter to the Editors of Wheels and motor magazine pointing out the oil issue would not go astray .

High pressure fuel injectors. When the engine is cold its a little louder too. From what I gathered, warming up the engine is running in Stratisfied Mode. VW engines just drive it hard once oil temp hits 90 degrees celcius. You will get lesser oil lost or none even.
