meanwhile, volkswagen australia says it is continuing to reduce the polo gti waiting list. Late last year the wait blew out to 12 months but ms koeckler hopes to trim that to nine months with a recent realignment of the polo range.“we could sell double [the number of] polo gti we did last year, but there is so much demand worldwide,” she said. “so we’ve asked for double this year.”
    .............

Realignment = no 3 door trendline. Things that were optional on 77TSI and GTI are now standard. Clever girl

For all those people pricing Polos.
The MY12 prices have been released. Equipment has also been added. So if you are getting prices on existing stock you better get a really good discount.

All 2012 Volkswagen Polo models now come standard with Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming, Media Device Interface with USB connection cable, and daytime driving lights.

    • 77TSI Comfortline six-speed manual – $18,990 (-$860)
    • 77TSI Comfortline seven-speed DSG – $21,490 (-$860)
    • 66TDI Comfortline six-speed manual – $21,490 (-$860)
    • 66TDI Comfortline seven-speed DSG – $23,990 (-$860)

The prices quoted by pologti18t are not driveaway. So you've got add on a few thousand for dealer delivery, stamp duty, rego....

As the Trendline is being discontinued, will the added extras that are now standard on the other models be standard on the Trendline?

It's not being discontinued... the 3 door trendline is replaced with the 5 door. I assume it will also come from SA not europe.

Just put a deposit on a candy white Polo GTI 5dr for $31000. Stock standard. Dealer was not sure about comfort pack and audio pack coming standard on the car but I told them it did and they shrugged and said if it does, it does. Kinda worried haha. Delivery is July. Is that a good deal?
