All the best to her and the jazz and to you selling what seems to be a nice car.

Um how do you figure that? KWICK's price has an RRP of $25,389 driveaway according to the VW website for my postcode. Not sure about your maths, but that's almost $1900 off the RRP to me and a pretty good deal?

How do you know if KWICKS has given you the full bottom line as far as price is concerned. Does it include stamp duty etc etc?

My info comes from reliable VW Australia sources.

He did say delivered, so I take that as driveaway. In any case, I don't know where you get your "reliable" info but there is definately more than $500 in it. We did better than that, easily.

I wasn't aiming to gloat about pricing, don't see the point to be honest. Just commenting on the fact you said there wasn't more than $500 off the RRP. It is misleading to people who are going to negotiate on a new purchase.

Dave....I don't want this to go into a "he said....they said" issue. And I am not trying to have the last word.

I didn't say that there wasn't more than $500 off rrp for the delaer.

What I said was...there is only $500 in it for the dealer. If the dealer chooses to go harder on the discount (in your favour) they are obviously making some of it back through accessories or hoping to get it back through continued customer service (further sales, or servicing of the vehicle/s). I don't think that is misleading.

As for gloating, I certainly am not doing any of that. Others may have. The thread has asked "Share what you are paying".

My news for the day? Our Polo is not due until end of November now. Not happy....but what can you do? Wish I was in Sydney, where it seems you can walk into a dealership late July, order the same spec as us, and be told it will be available early September. That pi$$e$ me off.

Uh oh, did my purchase become the topic of hate now? I didn't know until the day after i got my VIN/Shipping number that most of you guys have purchased your vehicle 8-10 weeks ago.

News however for you my dealer says the main reason why those areas may not have so many cars was due to not purchasing many slots, this may be due to the fact that the past polo didn't have that WOW factor and sell much the dealership i have bought from purchased 30 slots. (Steve you mentioned this in the other topic so credit to you for bringing it up, i just followed it up for you guys with my dealer)

Another answer with that november date, it is due to the fact that the cars with the premium/touch screen audio pack have a back log due to not having enough parts/high demand for that main option.

All good mate, not trying to start a **** fight. I doubt the dealers would take a hit on a new release to get sales and make it up on extras given there is no stock to move anyway.

I'm hoping ours turns up on early so I've got a car to get around in finally! My last update was.
"Entry Dealer System" is 12/05/10 (aka ordered)
    "Handover to Production" is 02/06/10
"Checkpoint 8 Handover to Sales" is 29/07/10
"Arrival at Final Destination" is 31/08/10

It is possible that people getting quicker deliveries have just chosen a spec already in the system. When we ordered, there was one already coming that didn't have the comfort pack. Dealer tried to get it added but it was too late in the cycle to add the option and had to do it from scratch.
