brand new polo 77 comfortline, sport and comfort pack, pepper grey, mats and tint, 21800.
Finally ordered the Fiancees White MY13 Polo GTI 5 door with alcantara and Pleather interior for $32,400 driveaway.
Delivery will be Jan/Feb next year, so will also have the 2013 compliance
I don't think we could have got them down any more, as we're in SA, and so have a limited number of dealers to choose from...
Cheers,
Anglo

MY12.5 Candy White Polo Comfortline TSI DSG | Comfort Pack | Rear Parking Sensors | Genuine Floor Mats | Genuine Slimline Weather Shields
Sorry for reposting here but I put it in the wrong spot before (I think - new user!)
I purchased a MY13 Polo GTi (Candy White) with Bi-Xenon Headlights and Sunroof with a corporate plus program for $34,876.47 in Victoria.
The dealer failed to explain further eligibility requirements and I'm unable to get the 'corporate plus' discount they offered. This means the purchase price has jumped $1,000.
Is $35,876 for a MY13 with these extras reasonable? I feel like I have been totally ripped off given that I agreed to virtually sticker price because of the discount offered which has been rescinded, because the dealer was unclear.
I am entitled to terminate the contract but would prefer they revert the price to save the hassle of going elsewhere. As an aside, the increase in price has just been added to the dealer delivery fee. Seems a bit unorthodox...
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
77tsi Comfortline - Manual - Pepper Grey Metallic - with Comfort Pack - $18990
Haven't fully committed yet.
Is this a good deal?
Nothing funny about the deal - $29,490 drive away - simple as that.
No corporate rate. No lease. No trade in (I'm trying to sell my MY10 Golf 118 privately at the moment).
To be honest, we weren't ready to buy. Just thought we'd go and drive one to see if we could live with Polo size after a Golf.
Drove it and had fun. Dealer told us retail was $34,500 (at this stage we were ready to go home and spend a few weeks selling the Golf). After a few minutes, he suggested $29,490 if we committed by 5pm that day. We were a little stunned. Started to drive home to think about it. Got five minutes down the road and decided we couldn't pass it up. Went back and did the deal.
Now we have Polo GTI and Golf 118 in the garage. I need to get rid of that Golf! (My "play" car - Fiat X1/9 - has been shunted into the weather and she is not happy!)

I can vouch for this as fact. I got MY13 with reverse sensors for $29.9k from same dealership.
Timing & knowing how to negotiate + do some investigation makes it all worth while (i.e. work out who has what cars in stock). There was no current shortage on these vehicles in recentmonths, in fact MY12.5 & MY13 landed within a few months of each other. I drove across all dealers in SE Qld to get my deal & passed on info to bmck to assist in his.
