Hey guys just snapped myself up a Polo GTI after hunting around for about a week and managed to get myself a cancelled order.

Just wanted to see what you guys think of a quote I got today from VW.

Tried to get them to include tint to the front two windows but they wanted $250.
Is this a good price?

Ended up getting with the tints included. Now just have to wait for 6 months.

The delay is due to the sunroof. Well thats what the dealer told me.

Dealers have no idea what the holdup is. If oyu order a polo GTI, aim on a 12 month wait. If you get it earlier, lucky you. You probably got one the dealer has rangled and gotten priority over customers who have already been waiting 9 months without even getting an estimated build date....

I was told 9 month wait for the sunroof, 6 month wait without one. I was lucky and had just under a 4 month wait. Ordered mid March 2011 and got the car early July 2011. I almost peed my pants when the dealer told me that I managed to get an earlier than expected built date!

Ok just got a call from the dealer. They have been informed that the audio package (RCD510) is no longer a factory option for MY12 TSI model as MDI is standard. Dealer said he can refund $700 and amend the contract.
I thought this was weird as I have not read about it on here. Anyone know anything about this?

Yes, I heard exactly the same when I went to my local dealer in the last week of 2011. Not really sure why they would get rid of the RCD510 option. Would have been perfect for those who wanted something nicer than the standard audio system, but didn't need navigation (e.g. me)

That's interesting.. Did your dealer mentioned anything about bluetooth being standard as well?

So you'll get the RCD310 instead?
