I asked my dealer when I went to pick up a week ago out of curiosity. He said its standard on European models at the moment. VAG have not announced to the dealers whether it will be standard specs here in Aus. He said he would know soon.

I confirmed it with my dealer (VW South Yarra) that they have revised the MY12 specs for the Polo range with bluetooth and MDI as standard. Hence my missus' delivery date have been pushed from Dec 2011 to March 2012.

Could this be part of the range restructure, ie they'll add these features while changing the price? Hopefully won't have too much impact on the deal I have.

3 door trendline disappears to be replaced with a 5 door version (from SA)
GTI gets RCD510/ClimateControl as standard - no price change AFAIK.

Car had just arrived in stock so I was stuck with only dealer optionals.

- 77tsi , 5 door, dsg
- Reflex Silver
- Comfort Pack (wipers, auto headlights only i believe)
- Floor Mats
- Boot Scuff Plate
- Boot Liner (have a large hairy dog)
- Paint Protection from X pack thing.
- 'full tank of gas' my response "well i wasn't expecting it empty!"

Is that in Canadian Dollars or AUD? (I see that you are in vancouver, Canada!)

I ordered a similiar spec'd car without the scuff plate, boot liner, paint protection for AU$25000 drive away.

Apologies thats AUD i just moved back (my 84 gti, 83 rabbit were left behind in Canada )

Yes without the accessories/paint protection it was $24,888 drive away from Peninsula VW.

Nope, no auto headlights on polo. You will get:
Auto wipers
Self dimming rear mirror
Tyre pressure indicator (only works on rapid deflation)
Climate Control


Unless of course these specs have changed since I downloaded the brochure ~12 months ago...

I just bought a brand new MY12 2011 POLO 77TSI candy white, 6 speed manual with audio and comfort package. I opted out of the sport package im going to buy my own wheels and put kings in when i get a chance. i got darkest tint possible and a fabric protection all up $23,900 drive away.
