1st year service in Sydney
Hey all,
So I'm coming up to one year's ownership of my awesome Polo GTI. Wife and I don't actually drive all that much (both catch the train to work) so we've only racked up 4,000 km on it.
I was wondering if you guys had opinions on the best options for servicing in Sydney. Basically, is it better to go to a dealer or an independent VW specialist?
From reading through this forum I see people recommend Stephen Natoli in Burwood.
There's a reasonable chance I'll have to sell this car in the next couple of years (may be moving overseas) so resale value is a concern - will dealer servicing have any effect on that?
EDIT: I've used Chatswood Classic Cars twice in the past year (DSG software update and free 6 month "health-check) and they seemed fine.

I do recommend CCC in terms of stamping your books etc...as well as the fact they have taken good care of my car whenever I've had warranty complaints/issues.
I believe the first service at CCC is $360 off the top of my head, just call up and find out. You can negotiate the price with either Claudio (assistant manager for service dept) or Steve (Service Dept Manager) if you pay cash/eftpos either of them will be willing to listen to a "reasonable" offer.

From reading around it seems that dealer servicing definitely does have a positive impact on resale value. Guess CCC is the way to go atm.
