Hmm maybe not too bad an idea after all?
You'll be looking at 120k+ too own one plus have it going reliably... A mate has a supercharged GTS. Has alot of problems with the auto in it. And the cars computer over riding stuff... A more cheaper option is a Big single turbo kit. Say a GT47R etc.. Will be alot cheaper. Alot more fun. And sound rad. If you are seriously thinking about doing this... Get a R8.. The GTS has way too many features which stop you tuning the ecu. R8 is alot easier too use.

Make sure you get a manual with a twin plate clutch. Auto will just keep ****ing out no matter how much money you spend on it.

It's currently got quite a tame tune in it with not too much timing and plenty of fuel and the supporting hardware would let me go for quite a much larger power figure if I leaned on it.

Not really bothered about 1/4 mile. I had some slicks and front runners but then changed the brakes and the drag wheels no longer fitted. It's pointless taking it with road tyres now.
Does it have a screamer? Haha. V8's with screamers sound nuts especially with the turbo whistle too go along with it.

I wouldnt bother with qtr mile either. Car like that wont run less then a 12 on street tyres. But will beat 10 second cars on the street...

Lol 120k, bugger that spend a little more and get a Nissan GTR and you have yourself an already off the shelf supercar killer without the hassle of a canary as you would with modified cars (unless that being the whole purpose of tracking only).

Nah I doubt its going to cost anywhere near 120k. If it was going to cost anywhere near that much, I'd be going for the M3 sedan instead. I can't justify paying anymore than 90k for a local car and won't be buying when its just been released. Best to wait for a year or two or even a demo or second hand one that's done less than 5000k's to take advantage of the massive discount/savings associated with HSV and FPV cars. Anyway, that was only a thought and most likely won't be on the cards since lpg is an issue with engine longevity. Anyway, test drove the Passat CC V6 model today since I'm told its impossible to get my hands on a new R36 now. Mighty impressed with it I must say.

Yes, it's at Marrano's. It would normally be my Commodore on the dyno, but the Polo went on for a change.
