WIP: Polo RATTLE fix list!

I did a search through the forum to see if there was any similar threads..
I know there is the Problems and Fixes thread but I think that we all need this specific thread!

The main purpose is to list the symptoms of your problem and if you've fixed it, list that also.
For e.g:

DESCRIPTION:
Creaking from rear of car.

SYMPTOMS:
Consistent creaking from the rear of the car only when driving.
Also when pushing down on rear end when stationary.

FIX:
Replaced rear shock absorber top mounts.
P/N# 1J0513353D x 2





DESCRIPTION:
Creaking from rear of car.

SYMPTOMS:
Rear end creaking when going over bumps.

FIX:
Re-greased rear sway bar bushes.





DESCRIPTION:
Knocking noise in front end.

SYMPTOMS:
Knocking noise sounds like it's coming from the lower front right hand wheel well.
Mainly felt when turning left or right over bumpy roads.
I can feel it through the pedals and steering wheel.

TRIED:
New shorter drop links,
New strut top mounts and bearings,
Re-greased brake pad faces,
Replaced LCA bushes with new SEAT bushes,

No luck?

Add persistent little rattle in rear left quarter

Sounds like the handle on a zip rattling

Not shockies as dealer took it out.

Have bought trim removers so may find it

Have similar in Passat wagon

Maybe a VW feature LOL
