    But how bad does it look with boonet protectors and mudflaps and headlight protectors?

    I honeslty couldnt live with that

    I had the bonnet and headlight protectors on my old Honda Civic - I will admit the front of the bonnet was nearly spotless as a result after 12 years. But they do look terrible - I didn't care on the honda as to me that was just a runabout but with the GTI I couldn't think of anything worse to spoil it - I love the front end of it!

    Personally, I'd rather have a few chips on it and respray it in a few years if it gets too bad, than have the covers on.

    If you're looking to protect the bonnet/front of your car, without using the bonnet and headlight shields, you might want to look into paint protection film - much like this 3M product:

    It's practically invisible - it's similar to book 'contact' and will provide a layer of protection above your clearcoat, while being practically invisible.

    I'm quite happy about the way the headlight and bonnet protectors look on the Euro.
