Also have them for Mk V Golf, 4 piece set, that looks interesting to me.

Would any other Melbourne 9N(3) owners be interested in window weathershields?
We could cut the shipping cost back with a single purchase a private distribution.
Here are ones that suit 3 door models like the GTi
and here are ones to suit 5 door models

Hmm maybe if I was 30 years older i would put them on![]()
Here is a 9N3 GTi that has them fitted http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...i-50436-3.html
The owner thinks they're great (and he's younger than you, vwthunder)
Since you have 2 cars that can use them Maris, the freight is far more reasonable (though if there were any other people in Adelaide who wanted some, then a group buy wouldn't hurt)
Oh ok
They dont look too bad, not like the ones my mates dad has on his VL commonwhore
Like these?eBay Australia: polo weathershield
I did a group buy for the same sort of weathershields on the golfmkv.com forum for MkV Golfs.
The ones you have posted up seem to work on the same principle as the ones I got for the group buy. i.e. they fit inside the channel where the window glass goes into when full closed.
My advice is to avoid them. They don't stay in the channel (even though they have adhesive on the lip) and will eventually come loose. I had mine on for about a year or so before I got rid of them.
Better to get those that are secured with double sided tape on the outside of the door which don't look as slick as the ones listed above but will stay on for longer.
The pic of the weathersheild on the car and this part of the description
would indicate that these are precisely the ones that are secured with double sided tape on the outside of the door- Easy to fit: comes with geniune 3M dobule sided tapes from Germany plus 2 x alcahol prep pads![]()
