Window not working + ABS and traction control light on dash

I’ve recently replaced my passenger window regulator and motor. The window will only work 10 minutes after the battery has just been plugged back in and only from the passenger window switch but not the driver side switch. After the 10 minutes there is no sign of the window working.

the abs and traction control light are up on the dash, the code says it’s the front right speed sensor but I’ve replaced all of them and it still shows up with the same fault code.

What were the part numbers on the wheel sensors? And do you still only get the error for the front right?
Wiring issues and a bad tone ring can cause problems with wheel sensors. Did you inspect the cabling and tone ring when you replaced the sensors?

The window issue, might be caused by the system seeing a button stuck down, do you have a scan tool to look at the live data or button status?

The code has been up for a few months now, it is still only the front right, I’ve also replaced the cv shaft on both sides.
i inspected the cable to about half way up, I didn’t want to take it out of the rest of the wiring. The sensor itself and wiring read well with a multimeter, the sensor also reads the speed correctly when I checked it on my scan tool.

i haven’t been able to check the window yet so I’ll have a workshop have a look for me when I take it in next.

    thank you for the help.

If the code is cleared, does it come back right away? If the speed data looks correct, it could still be a bad tone ring; I am pretty sure the Polo's ones are part of the wheel bearing; if it only randomly sets the fault, it might be loose or corroded cabling.

Sharing the exact fault stored if you have vcds or similar would help too, as that has fault counts etc, included with the code.

Check out this video for more info on tone ring faults.

yeah the wheel bearing itself has the flag wheel that the sensor picks up on. The ring isn't on the CV. I guess its possible if jamming the driveshaft spline around trying to find the receiver in the hub, that its damaged the ring. Did the abs fault come up immediately after the CV swap?
