Because if it came with the 1.8T badge, it would also come with the POLO badge... the less on my tailgate the better. I think the VW and GTI badge is more than enough.

Passat had 1.8t badge, as well as 20v badge. I've got a 1.8t with red t on my boot lid opposite side of GTI. IMO stands for chipped!!I also have an R badge on top of ashtray.
