Good to hear. Is it the adjustable one? What setting are you using?
Hi everyone,
Popped a Whitleine 19mm adjustable rear swaybar and wow, what a difference.
The rest of the suspension is standard and I am planning to go coilovers, especially as the current setup seems overly stiff and crashes and bounces into every bloody pothole, but since the swaybar has been fitted
I had reservations that adding a bar would increase the crashing but nope, the complete opposite. It would appear that the bar has tied the rear suspension together (obviously) and stiffened the chassis and what I'm feeling now is the front suspension being allowed to work throughout its full range.
It could also mean that the rear wheels are being kept off the deck now and I am "flying" over bumps which I was previously falling into, but hey who cares, the result is fantastic, the car is now very liveable and I'm not in such a rush to fit the coilovers.

Yes it is.
I had it on my previous Polo which was an 07 TDi.
Made no difference on that which was part of the reason I thought I'd give it a go in this one.
I started it on the loosest setting but have bumped It up a notch.
Quite happy with it on this setting.
It was still noticeable on the loosest setting.
got a link to site where you purchased?
im worried i will order the wrong part!
Go to whiteline.com.au
Pretty sure you can order online or just any whitened retailer which they list on their site too.
The model number is bwr19z I think.
You can double check off the website with the drop down menus.
I know for a fact the endlinks are no longer available, as I left them on the old polo when I sold it and had to pay kmac a visit to get some new ones made up.
I hope the bar as a kit (swaybar, end links and centre bushes and mounts) is still available.

Which model polo do you have it on now? I have an 08 Tdi, You say it made minimal difference on your 07 Tdi?
Really no point to them unless you are tracking the car, put the cash towards new suspension
how much was it?
MY07 Polo GTi
Last run - 114.8kw atw
Winton - 1:52.7130
It is now on an 07 GTI.
I was slightly surprised by how little a difference it made to the TDi when I fitted after having positive experiences on FWD cars before with the fitting of a bar to the rear. And I did try it on all 3 settings.
Is the diesel engine significantly heavier than the petrol? I'm assuming it would be, and therefore endows it with the handling of a lead tipped arrow.
Whiteline are showing it priced now at $252 on their online shop.
Here is the link.
