    Wheel fitment

Hey guys and girls, I found some wheels which have a offset of +45 17X7.5

Would these fit, can they be spaced out

I am looking for wheels for the GTI I dont have yet lol, hopefully soon

I am currently running 17x7" 45 ET rims with 215/40R17 tyres with no worries at all. However I have run your question through a wheel offset calc and the worry is your inner clearance which is 6mm less than my set up and that is cutting it very fine in regards to the front shocks especially. The rears not so much.

With spacers you would have no worries at all but make sure the spokes will clear the brake calipers which is the most common problem with 45 ET rims on a Polo because most rims this spec are for Subaru's.

Can you post some pics of the rims you are thinking about?? Keen to have a look see

Yeah ditto on the above comments. Inner rim clearance could be a worry. An offset of 45 with a 7.5" rim just brings it in too far for my liking.
Anyway here is that offset calc that is very handy.

I'm running 17x7 ET40 and needed to run 5mm spacers to clear the front calipers.
    Cheers,

Im running 18X7.5. not sure the offset but its a Kuro intake rim.

Misses the break calipers by a mile but you get the very occassional scrub on the front left guard if hit a pothole while turning. Once in a million. I love these wheels..
