Hi everyone. I am getting a wheel alignment done this week (pulling slightly to the left on level and cambered roads) and was wondering what people have set their cars alignment settings to for road use ?

What settings are we talking about???? The Polo doesnt have camber, caster or toe settings that im aware. if im wrong please enlighten me.
I had mine done recently. There's not much adjustability, in terms of the -ve camber one might like for track work -- for that you need to fit some adjustable top-mounts -- but the wheels can certainly be aligned (and should be checked at least annually).

Just had the wheel alignment done on our car - was at 4 degrees toe out !!. Car has only 4000kms on it. Nearly stuffed the front tyres in only that many kms on the road. These cars are not aligned at factory - just bolted together under what is meant to be close tolerances !.
Suggest others get an alignment done (or at least keep an eye on tyres to ensure your car isnt set like this from factory !!! ). Only tell tale sign - slight pull to the left on an off-camber road (ie had to exert pressure against the self-centre feel of the steering wheel) - but would wander to the eft fairly quickly when hand off the wheel.
Cheers
Alignment can be severely affected by the roads, pot holes, uneven surfaces and certain driver input.
I work in new vehicle sales, and i drive new cars every day, i have never hopped into a new car and gone ''this alignment is terrible''. Manufacturers dont do things on the dodgey.. especially companies like Subaru, Suzuki, Volkswagen etc.
Also on a road with camber, every car whether it be a Hyundai or an Audi will pull slightly to the left.
But i certainly agree, you should have your cars wheels rotated and aligned every 6-12 months to prolong the life of the suspension and tyres.
Sorry to hear about your problems !
Interesting I'm hopefully getting some Goodyear F1s for my fronts, will ask for wheel alignment to be done at the same time. Cost much?
Polo's are front adjustable only.
Should cost around $40 bucks
