    Sell it!

haha, nah, I'd lower it, wheels and tint - then drive like a lunatic and people will just think it's fast

Make it a nice cruiser, it will never be a quarter mile stormer.

    Congrats on the purchase.
i dont know much about the 2001 polo, but could you not add a turbo for the equivalent price of suspension, tinting and wheels.or is the engine not up to the job?

Looks very nice...Tint and bigger wheels will definatly give this some more road presence...Didn't they bring out a GTI version of these in Europe?? Maybe have a look at that, and see what you can get for this.
    Maybe this could help...

Thanks dude. Great links. I think I'm a convert. I have been driving a 3.8L Holden Commodore and it has plenty of legs but even though my Polo is only 1.4L I love the fact that it drives like a go kart in comparision. A very fun drive.

mate, that model solo is friggin cool! Way more attractive than the current model, i reckon.

Give her a good clean, wax, make sure interior is cleaned up, apply that liquid black to all the plastic surfaces in and out, then spend some money on a good suspension setup, and a pair of 16 inch bright silver wheels. It will corner like a king and look gorgeous too.
