When a Stg 2 GTI returns 6.1l/100km on a 900km road trip ..... and are able to overtake safely and VERY quickly in short spaces if required ....

Hmm my wife keeps telling I must love the the turbo whistle, as it happens so often. I can't hear it!
Going to ENT specialist to arrange for hearing test on the 24th!

I am currently loving the noise it makes at 25PSI on about half throttle, in 5th. Speed classified.

Just back from a 900 km lap of Sth West WA. I learnt 4 things about the GTI

1. The Kumhos are far better than they have any right to be

2. Bilsteins and dexterity with a touch screen don't go together

3. 70 kmh on Caves Rd is only half right

4. The GTI is an awesome touring vehicle for one (the driver)

Have a think about the short shifter and bushings, a nice shift makes the countryside that much more enjoyable.
