That's exactly what I did. I figured I would have to pay it, but since I didn't have any cash at the time and the deadline to pay was getting close, I didn't want to attract an additional late fee so I wrote in saying that it was a road whereas the ticket issued had street -- thus buying me more time to pay. It was a pleasant surprise when they sent me a reply stating that they withdrawl the infringement and instead issued a warning.

I got caught in the Royal NP on Saturday - 12km/h over - I consider myself lucky that's all he got me for

He seemed to think he was uber cool says something like "nice little car these, 1.8L turbo, 110kW must really fly when you want". I was like, "umm, yeah".

I thought the Polo GTI was a bit of a sleeper, not something some bogan copper would know anything about ... caught me by surprise.

can you get a refund on a speeding ticket or get points back if its already paid? because i paid it soon after the offence. i think i may be stuck with it.

Can't say I've ever heard of anyone getting their money back after paying a fine. I think the way they see it is, if you pay it, you've given up your right to appeal. But who knows, you can always try.
