What I love about my Polo:

I get bored of it if I drive it too much and wish I would just bite the bullet and call APR.

But now I have my MkIII beater, which is gutless... and auto....

When I hop back in my GTI I'm happy once again and cannot fathom why they would make a car that doesn't perform like the little Polo.

What i love about my polo GTI:

Almost everything. But it still wont stop me going back to a V8 after this, i mean i love this car, but i like to cruise, and i have to throttle this thing, its just too much fun.

I would have to say the twisties is where this car should live.

I love the fact that the GTI's are not so much of a common car in Melbourne. You see so many mazda 3's and sp3's, Don't understand why people want to look like everyone else.

absolutely everything. my previous car was a Peugeot 206 GTi, which at the time i though was a little pocket rocket and handled on rails.......that was until i test drove a Polo GTI. And from that day onwards my hunt started. I've had my Polo car for about 3 weeks now and it's been nothing but a dream to drive. And finding out yesterday that it has the APR chip has changed the way i look at it, and drive it. I have so many plans but so little money, c'mon end of financial year pay review!!

I like the overall build of the car. The car feels like its built very well, even when you close the doors it just feels solid.

It dosent have that cheap Korean/Jap car feel. Everything was put together well with quality materials.

It kinda makes me feel like I am in a car that cost twice the price of what I paid for it.

I don't have anything to add to the above. Exact same for me.

I just love the feel of the car, the handling, the chuck ability, the low down torque, and the look on commonwhore drivers faces when you leave them behind at the lights!!

I love the start up process.

Open the door - hear a pump (fuel?) - turn ignition to 'on' - hear a pump. Fire her up and you get that beautiful burble. Then the 'rough' idle (extra exhaust valve open?) at 1,000rpm for a minute then it all settles down to 750rpm and you drive off.

Kind of like starting an italian supercar but with nothing like the power or noise for the effort
