FINALLY got around to making a socket adapter so I could undo the dogbone mount engine bolt, obscured by the UL Racing front brace, with a spanner in prep for the track day tomorrow (which is going to be one of those wet/dry scattered showers days ).
I swear that they could not make the access worse without specifically designing it to do so

Saturday free time, so I thought about time to check the suspension etc and rear Lower Control Arm bushes.
Put the car up on stands and got under to check and all LCA bushes look good for OEM's that have been there for 15,000 k's.
Checking all points of interest and I noticed a major gutter rash 30cm long on the right hand front inside rim of the Advanti Maze R.
The rim is damaged and has a flat zone where the rash was evident. So rotated fronts to rear. My wife says she thinks it happened on the way to Capalaba on Mt Gravatt-Caplaba Road where she could not avoid a large pothole. Were going that way this arvo and will identify it and take some photos for the record.
Can we claim against council for the damage due to them failing to maintain this road?
Cheers Al

Another thing I noticed was my APR Dump-pipe hanger had some ever so slight cracks in the spot welds, as a little exhaust soot was evident. So borrowed from 'Dave the nieghbour' his very handy little Mig welder and repaired it.
Ohh never knew I had the APR Dump-pipe until now! Lol
Thanks Dave.
Hard to tell with the weather we had today. I did get within 3.5 seconds of my best time for Sandown on a drying track with road tyres so I'd like to think the stiffening plus the camber plates are taking me in the right direction
I like the Polo being small but you're right - sometimes things are cramped beyond belief. Changing the battery was a bitch due to the $%#@#$@!#$ clip thing.
Lots of other people have claimed for this - take lots of pics.
