Thanks mate. Do you think the 1190kg's quoted in the Aust, VW brochure includes spare, jack etc? They call it TARE weight which means unladen from what I've read.

I'd say yes. My rego details suggest it's 1060 or something like that, certainly under 1100kg. So that must be dry weight.

interestingly the 66% ish over the front could be area of attention for those seeking more grip.
even a 2 or 3% increase over the front vs rear would be a big booster to traction in a straight line.

It's the cornering and braking behaviour that I'm curious about. I'm not sure the level of influence this distribution would have on acceleration; obviously lightness, squat, etc, though in terms of lap times, I think it'd be neglible. i.e. Good/bad handling characteristics would outweigh the marginal improvement to get power to the ground. Open to opinions/experience.

I just fitted a milltek non-resonated catback last night (I thought it would be more ricey - pretty tame but still nice!),
I had to cut the stock exhaust to get it out though - anyone else have this problem?

Yes mate common thing. Is your car tuned? Will sound pretty sedate if not but comes alive in a nice strong deep note with tune!

5k+ km, the ProVent 200 filter element is finally soaked up and start accumulating oil at the bottom of the housing

Paint corrected my bonnet to remove the swirls and scratches and then applied a layer of Wolf Chemicals Hard Body sealant.
REALLY shiny now

Does the oil cooler have a valve that only opens up when the oil hits a certain temp? (usually around 90 deg C on the installations that I've seen)
