Perfect opportunity to get the cup kit front bumper.
We have had 3 wet "Happy Laps" sessions so far, twice we have had cars go onto the grass.
The track is a dangeroud place in the dry, in the wet it's a completely different beast and even more dangerous.

Not so much done today, but as I was driving it this morning dropping kids off at school I thought back at the stuff I did to the Polo this past year and how each bit added to the car's driving experience and not a single 1 made me regret it. A bit of a change to ther mods made over the years that I regretted and normally eventually reversed .... so this year the Polo got:
- Cone filter in airbox
- ANS420 Satnav and Bluetooth unit with RNS510 style interface
- ECS Red Coilpacks
- colder NGK plugs
- ECS lightened crank pulley
- H7 Phillips Powervision Mains
I'm sure I picked up at least 1kw from the mods and the SatNav and Powervisions really freshened it up a bit. After 7 years it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and I'd need to spend $60K+ to find something more enjoyable.

Whilst I'd have to normally agree, the new 86 has my interest.
The past two weeks have seen my Polo garaged whilst I fang about in a borrowed classic mini. 998cc, drum brakes, sliding windows, hydraulic handbrake, and a set of advans make commuting fun again.
As for the Polo, I had my MOMO re-wrapped. Looks yummy.
Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Choose two.
Go drive 1 first, back to back with the Polo ..... I have driven 1 and it is pretty gutless ..... handles well, but as a daily driver it is rubbish. Funnily enough I have run into a few whilst in the GTI and the frustration apparent on the faces of the 86 drivers when a little old Polo hands it to them in a big way is priceless ..... love it.
One day when the 86/BRZ comes with a turbo, it would be a seriously good.

My old man just picked up at 86...I'd take it hands down over the Polo any day of the week. Sure it's not as fast but when you can hang the tail out driving at regular speeds who cares! The handling and steering compared to the Polo is also on another level...and this compairing a stock 86 to my one with coilovers etc.
Here we go
LOL
The only way Toyota could get the 86 to break traction is to fit Eco Prius tyres to it. Fit some sticky rubber and there would be none of that .....
im sorry but as a daily drive on public roads in its current form it does nothing for me. Needs at least another 100kw and 200Nm before I'd consider it. 350+NM at 3000rmin, where distant spots magically teleports closer when I put my foot down in 3rd is the zone I live in, I don't like checking every time I put my foot down if I forgot the handbrake on like I did o my drive in the 86 .....
