You have no idea how jealous I am of this! I haven't seen figures like that for about 6 months - and it's not heat related, think I need new spark plugs or something - I'm in the 9's and 10's on most trips and I used to see 6's and 7's - no changes in weight, driving style, drag/aerodynamics, fuel or A/C usage - it's doing my head in. Last time I saw an average of below 8 was when I did 40kms completely naturally aspirated. And I do a lot of 300km trips to Melbourne and still don't get lower than 8.5

Please let me know how it turns out once it's finished, and if you don't mind sharing details of the cost involved that would be great too.
Last time i went there they had a few time attack cars they were working on, not a big flashy workshop, but they are known to do some amazing work.

Main reason I went them was their friendly attitude, unlike some of the other places i went to.
The other places tried to tell me what to get, rather than me telling them what i want, hello i am the one paying !!!!!

A 4 point cage with braces etc powdercoated they quoted me would be just on, or under $1500

What did you do to your Polo today?

    Hey All,
got my suspension and bushes done today - have a looksie

only one problem though, the workshop I went to couldn't figure out how to fit the lower rear control arm bushes (SEAT solid). I know Gavin has done them in about a hour with the right tools.

What are other people's experiences with fitting these bushes (costs & time)? I really don't want to pay for another wheel alignment, so hopefully I can tell the workshop how to fit and they can do the alignment for free.

I've read you can do without taking off the control arm and only the subframe.

    All help appreciated

    Thanks

Hi jorjet27, first time I have seen a twin of my Polo Gti. Black Magic with same wheels.
Standard suspension height for me at present.

No worries Al, I got no idea what I'm doing at this stage so will have to find the Forge install manual or stalk fellow members who've done it already.

There's the manual - it's all you need, very easy to follow and you need very little experience to do it. Simple job, most important bit is jacking the radiator etc.
