Seriously though, what's the reality of getting a mouthful of water in you filter or beyond?? It'll also be sucking up spray from cars in front I'd have thought.

I reckon any water going up there would fall out of the airstream and run back down the pipe. Driving through water that covers it wouldn't be clever but even then I don't think there'd be enough vacuum to suck water all the way into the motor.

Yeah I don't plan on driving through any floods.

Light spray and rain I can't see really being an issue given its got to make it through the filter, turbo, fmic before it gets to the engine.

If its raining really heavily I can just pop the feed off the front of the airbox so there's no vacuum through it. Or drive the Clio.

Took advantage of a sickie today to fit my newly-arrived Forge 008:

Looks almost stock, definitely stealth. It joins the PD160 and K&N filter as the foundation for an upcoming Custom Code remap. Seems like Phase 1 is going to be enough for me, any advantage in going to Phase 2 with just these mods Gavin?

Do you have any of the exhaust upgraded? Think that's required for stage 2.
Intercooler will be the next big one, although you won't really need it until summer.

Sorry but OCD kicking in again, do yourself a favour and at least cut the tail off that hose clamp on the intake pipe.

You need a downpipe and preferably an intercooler to go phase 2. We can tweak the phase 1 with custom settings as far as it will go. Gavin

Cheers mate. I'll be doing it through Camden GTI, so will talk to them about the customised Phase 1.

That's the first thing on the list for tomorrow! My wrist is busted so couldn't grip the shears hard enough - will have to bribe my brother to do it.
