Hey Sean, you can keep the fog lamps no problem with the Forge piping kit. You just have to do a lot of trimming to the drivers side grill.
Cheers.

The mirror/glass from my driver side mirror fell off and smashed today! Driving out of the driveway and heard a smash, didn't realise what it was for way too long (figured it was a bottle or some glass on the road). The plastic behind it gave the impression of being a frosted over mirror (could still see the dotted line) so I thought perhaps the heated mirror wasn't working. The penny dropped a little later and I have ordered a replacement mirror.
How random. Not sure how long it was loose for.

Just made a big order from ECS:
Forge 008 DV
G60 20.5lbs solid flywheel + bolts
Genuine VAG throw out bearing
Forge short shifter
Magnetic engine and gearbox drain plugs
There goes the tax return, but hey... the DV should be the last thing I need to do before getting a Custom Code flash, and swapping the flywheel and bearing should fix the really **** rattle I get from the ECS 14lbs unit. Short shifter to make everything a little tighter.
When all this arrives: a big ol' service, a trip to the dealer to fix the broken passenger seat and rattles in both doors, Dynamat for the doors and boot and rear panels, and the Pogo should actually go back to being nice to drive
In the process of prepping the car for Winton next Saturday - installed the front and rear Ultra Racing underbody braces today.
Note to anyone who is thinking about buying these - the fitment is not 100%, I had to use some big washers on the rear brace to get it to fit (and it does rub on the fuel tank a little as mentioned by vwthunder) and the front brace required some angle grinding as the bolt holes were a few mm out...
Might be placebo but the car does feel more 'solid' around corners with a tad less body roll - will be interesting to see how it fares on the track and if it will improve my times.
