been a lurker on the 9n3 forums the past 2 months. purchased it as a daily drive till another golf driveaway promo came up. didnt realise that it would come up again so soon.

i cant believe that my 'hello' post could also be my last

i have just put a deposit on a my12 golf gti. so my polo gti will be up for sale soon.

in the past 2 months ive done the following to the black polo

    apr tune
    seat intake
    forge dv
forge turbo intake (this was a bitch to install)
    forge intercooled to diverter hose

boxed new, still to be installed
    seat bushes
    forge fmic
    forge front+rear strut braces
    h&r cup kit suspension

im so bloody torn, i enjoy this car so much...
didnt realise it would grow on me

well, if you like the Polo, why spend a whole lotta cash on a more expensive car?
On saying that, I'd take a new GTI over my Polo if money was no object.

the new car was always in the equation. i just missed out on the driveaway deals mid year.

the polo was meant to be a temp. which it was; albeit 2 months.

do you mean that it was going to be a temp whilst you wait the ~12 months for your gti to be delivered or something?

or do you mean you committed yourself mentally to getting on in a driveaway deal, so you're having trouble letting go of that concept even though you're having fun in the polo?

im not sure i understand this clearly ..... why do more mods to your polo than the average joe, and in such a short period of time, only to sell it and spend more money on something that will be slower, until you spend more money to get the golf to be as fast as the tuned polo was in the first place?

Went around Winton and did a 1:47...was trying to break into the 1:46s until my intercooler hose popped off and I decided to call it a day.

Also managed to melt my rear valance onto my exhaust...

Damn man. I have the Milltek as well and it sits just as close to the rear valance plastic as yours. No heat problems or melting yet though.
