Fitted my front lip = Smiles.
Scored a bloody big nail through the sidewall of my new tyre = Sad panda.
One rather quick thing I did to my Polo on the weekend - apart from giving it a vacuum to within an inch of its life - was to add a sound-deadening mat underneath the wooden layer of the boot floor. Sitting in between the wood and the plastic toolbox in the wheel well, this has helped to get rid of an annoying rattle which previously occurred when the rear wheel/s hit a pothole.
Very cheap - $0, since the mat was from the boot of my old car - and noticeable results!
Edit: Another thing that removed a front-end rattle was to tighten the torx screws holding the front bar on (these were loose, strangely) - got rid of any in-cabin rattle noise.

Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Choose two.
My Porsche Twist reps arrived today... Just have to pick them up (rubs hands in anticipation...).
I have orginised rubber for them too (226/35 R18's), and should have the lot fitted by the weekend.
All I need now is coilovers...

I got my Twist reps test fitted before I send them off to get rubber... They JUST fit under the guards... Well, at the rear anyway... At the front there is about 2mm of poke, but I think they will pull under the guards with the weight on the wheel... I'm stoked with the look though!! I can't wait to get them fitted up properly.

Will be interesting to see how you go with 18's and 225's
I rub on the front with 205's lol
Good luck
Mmmmmm... I may have to rethink this...
"If can't get behind your troops, feel free to stand in front of them..."
if you dont go too low you might be ok
I still have to lower it another 10 to 15mm... That's for next year though when I get coilovers. It's not excessively high, but I want it lower...
Where are your tyres rubbing?

Tabs on the front guard, just when i hit big bumps, I have been told you can bend them back
Opinions wanted people, should I put these wheels (as shown below on my GT4), onto the Polo and paint them black? My mate thinks they will look good, I'm not sure.
