    Yesterday I went to Wakefield (Racetrack near Goulburn) and met up with Matt and his Sirocco and James in his non-Polo (he can tell you all about it if he feels comfortable).

    Car tracked very well considering: Street tyres - Kuhmo KU31's
    Stock pads to suit Audi TT front brakes

    Time was 1.19, really could have done better but the brakes were not up to it. With the new coilovers, sways, etc it was MUCH tighter on the track and I felt very comfortable going up against a handfull of AWD EVO's and other toys.

    My driving was far from good on the day, but I'm keen to get back there once I've sorted out some track tyres and track pads.

    Props to Matt (Golfloon) and his Rocco, it looked very nice and was around 4 sec faster than me on the track!

    Oh well, practice makes perfect...

    Found a boost leak that might have contributed to my issues of late.

    Had block the O-ring out of the DV, and there was heat marks on the metal to show where the leak was. Ended up swapping out the Forge item back to my standard DV while I source a new O-ring.

    Edit: Also reset the ECU afterward (60s with the battery disconnected) to help the ECU re-calibrate for the new DV

    Good move. They make a big difference to front end feel. For the $$$ one of the best mods you can do.

    just did 70K service.
    every 10K Km's i do service on the GTI.
    put in 5W50 Mobil 1 oil in it with new oil filter.
    rear brake pads need to be replaced, but a closer look let us know that the rear discs are damaged.
    they might got to hot or so and the discs are "grooved", he still brakes, but not as it schould on the rear.
    nothing harmfull or so, so when i have 80K KM's i put new discs and get ferrodo DS2500 brake pads on it.
    and brake fluid will also be changed to DOT 5.1.

    Ordered QFM Pads for the front and Verdict bushes.

    Getting towards time to change the oil again

    Make sure you've done your research into the pro's and con's of 5.1 before going down that path mate. I looked into years ago on the subaru and I ended up not bothering and sticking with castoral dot 4. I've got 5.1 sitting at home and still CBF'd running it.

    Started tidying up the car ready for sale.

    Can't wait to get back into a proper sports car (Looking at a MY03 STI project car at this stage)
