    APR R1 DV arrived today from the states ($100 cheaper than if you buy here...).
    This weekend, that and the Mondeo Drop Links will go in....
    Ahead of an oil change, new Conti's and then most probably the Whitline RSB..... its going to be an expensive 6 -8wks for the little guy... but he deserves it!

    Why Conti's? I don't think they are worth the money.

    I am not totally decided on them, but will probably end up choosing them coz they came with the car I guess.
    Had a look through the tyre thread a couple of times, and am ok with the Conti's...
    What did you switch to???

    I'm not a fan of black wheels, mainly because they don't stand out. I'm sure it looks good in the flesh.

    T Go, I'm running Kuhmo's, they were cheap (around $100 a corner in Syd) and I think are slightly better rubber.

    If you have a price on Conti's, have a look at what some of the other guys on here are using and see what you can get for a similar price.

    I don't know much about tyres, but the Conti's come from Europe, so there is a big freight component in the price.

    ?

    Did you overtighten it last time? The only problem I ever see with our oil filters is the fact that they like dripping onto the ledge on the front side of the block as we remove them.

    For me, things ordered this week:
    * Oil + filter + sump plug
    * Redline MTL for the gearbox
    * Fuel filter
    * Gearbox linkages
    * New intake
    * Pollen filter
    Previous Rides: Polo GTI, Mx5 10AE, MY05 WRX WRP10, Renault Sport Clio 172
    Current Ride: Evo 8 MR, Fabia MK3

    Didn't over tighten, just not the easiest place to access (and the filter changer tool seems to slip on the can). Yeah, got oil over the front of the block.

    You're getting the Seat intake?

    I've not looked at changing the fuel filter yet, should do that too...
