APR R1 DV arrived in the mail from the USA and installed it
Gotta love the exchange rate atm, especially when things are "on sale"
my dad hates the rate at the moment- he earns usd, and the exchange rate means that he's earning 6-8 grand a month less than when the usd is strong, lol.
Well it's been a week away from the lil Polo whilst I was in Melb, so I took it for a good drive today

i took my car down to wakefield park with some friends today... was good fun...
although i have severely worn away at the front left tyre... and i will need new brake pads... all 8...
Was running about 1:19sec consistently (my car is completely stock)... reached 165ish down the main straight and learnt to throw my car around a corner with full throttle and a wiggly tail...
my mates mini cooper s with a jcw tuning pack was running one second faster... but another mate in an XR5 Turbo chipped with new intercooler, intake and falken R888 semi slicks was pulling off mid 1:14s consistenly and hitting 185-190kmh down the straight and pulled off some intense three wheel action
not sure i'll be a regular though... it does cost $160 for the day, plus fuel, plus tyres, plus brakes, plus clutch... plus anything else that might (but thankfully didn't) go wrong...
my tip would be to throw your spare wheel on the front left for half the day and then put your normal one back on for the second half... that tyre cops an absolute belting...
another tip... don't talk it up before you go... you will be humbled on the day by some skillful drivers in underpowered cars... there were two stock 1.8l 1990 mazda astinas that i could not gain any ground on for the entire track all day until the straight were I had the legs from 140-160...
would love to put my car on the track even if only once to give it a try. but ive got no idea how to get a racing licence.
Not done to the polo just yet but got an email saying my FMIC is now being manufactured. Take that summer heat
