Just washed the K&N filter, clean up the interior and added Oberon A623 Gasoline additive~ feels like a new ride again!

    Good day for my Polo

Today I went to see European Autotech in Sydney and had a few tweaks done.

    APR V2 Chipped
    H&R Springs
    Engine Mount Kit

Now its Fast, low and sturdy.

Happy with the H&R Drop, and it feels more firm. Little bit bumpier at some speeds as I didn't change the shocks, but very worth while upgrade for those who want the asthetic changes on a budget.

Have any before & after photos?

Roughly how much are those upgrades meant to cost?

    Here are some b4's:

    Springs were less than 500
Engine mount - standard cost (see APR Website)
APR ECU Flash V2 (see APR website)

Fitting springs and engine mount: less than 500

I'd prefer not to give exact dollar figures.

All up, Im sitting pretty with my hot hatch insured, tweaked and on the road for less than 25K which was my budget.

Glad I didn't go down the XR4 path, the turbo kick with the APR tune is sooooooooo much fun

I half fell asleep at the wheel last night, ran over a traffic island, mutilated the sump and dumped 5 litres of oil on the road in a few seconds.

I woke up in the morning, had car towed, and with the phone advise of jimmy mac sucessfully (so far) did a diy job.

New sump, filter + oil. All seems fine with no permanent damage.

And new found respect for coffee.

Stupid idea driving so tired, could have been alot worse. Expensive lesson learnt i hope.

Added pictures of the broken sump. You can clearly see the huge hole, another big hole and 2 massive cracks.

    XCarlink Install

This weekend I installed my Xcarlink Ipod adaptor. Pretty easy install with the only problem being that the plug for the back of the stereo is crap quality and doesn't stay plugged in that well. I also need to set up some proper playlists on my Ipod so that I have full use of the functions.
