washed off salt spray from being down coast today, and also discovered numerous issues to be fixed at 30k service.

wiring loom(i think, honestly have no clue) feeding wires from car to rear door has snapped off somehow. And my windows have gone crazy, one doesn't go quite all the way up and another starts to go up, almost gets there then goes back down. Would this is some software issue or something to do with the actual mechanism?

Really love the "Turbo WARNING" sticker !!
Where did you find it ?

Concerning the "noise pipe" on the left side in the engine's bay, did you have any problems to remove it ?
Aussie guys haven't got it but here in New Caledonia, we have the same.
Can you tell me more about the engine noise into the car after you removed it ? And was it after or before you installed a pod filter ?
I mean how does it sound without the noise pipe but with the stock airbox ?

    Thks mate !
    Cheers,

Dropped the GTI in at the dealer for warranty fix of turbo at 8am monday morning. They wanted it until 5pm, ok no problem.
10:30 am - phone call; we need it until 5pm tuesday...ok no problem.
9am tuesday morning-phone call; we have the wrong parts and have to air freight them from sydney, we need it until friday 5pm.
Hmm, ok, can i pick it up and drop it off on friday?
No.., it's in pieces in the workshop.
Oh, ok, then I need a loan car because 5 days is a long time without a car.
Umm, I don't think we have any cars available.
Dude cmon, you've changed from wanting my car for 1 day to 5 days through no fault of my own.
Ok, we can get you a Kia.
So what did I do to my polo today? Swapped it for a Kia!

The "Turbo Warning" stiker a friend gave it to me. I don't know where he get it.

That noise pipe is useless! It is very easy to remove, you will need a 2" pipe with 100mm lenght to put in the place of that plastic T before the intake.
Use a special plier for the elastic bracers... It will be easier!
I don't feel any diference with out it.

To remove the filter is much more easier, but you will have to create some kind of support for the new one.

I only fell the noise inside the car when I remove that black deflector layer in the hood.

How it changes! It much more alive!

I don't know how to discribe it to you.. try to figure a vacuum cleaner with something blocking the pipe. Almost like that.

Other thing.. I don't know if it about the noise, but I'm feeling the car more elastic at hi speeds..
