That's it Gary. I couldn't get my head around FWD when I got my Pug 205 Gti nearly 20 years ago after coming off RWD only cars. Wasn't till I worked out that just keeping the foot in and never lifting was the way to drive smoothly out of oversteer. Still looped it plenty of times though! ha ha

Had my 180,000km service today and got a couple of 'extras' done. Redline MTL gearbox oil, boy did that make a huge difference. Prior to the service it was getting a bit notchy between gears but feels like a new box now.

Other things I had done was PD160 intake fitted and spacers with Audi R8 coils & NGK PFR7Q plugs.

Feels better on the 'butt' dyno, could be a placebo effect but I'm happy.

Should've posted this earlier but was so busy preparing to move away. Installed these B16s and k-mac strut tops last month. Really transformed the car as the FSD and the HR weren't even supposed to pair up.

Found some headlight housing caps that fit nicely on the opened strut towers. Pretty happy with the results. What did you do to your Polo today?

Thanks guys for the advice regarding lift off oversteer. As a beginner in motorsports I've worked out that was a lift off oversteer right before I posted. Should be able to react better next time it happens.

What are you doing with the car when you move - are you selling that too?

My brother is going to uni in Sydney and he is very interested in the car. If the car can be registered as is in NSW then he'll have the car. He is only new to the country, I don't want to get him into too much trouble rectifying all those mods. Otherwise I'll have to sell the car, probably as is and at a very good price.

hmm I believe it will need a blue slip before it can be registered in NSW which means the car will be looked at a little closer. I think if it has been carrying rego in another state (hasn't been unregistered in ages) then that might change how much they look at it. Not sure how lenient they'll be on coilovers etc but I cant see the other stuff being much of a problem.

I'll look into it regarding coilovers, found something about ride height and suspension on NSW RMS website.

put it on a truck to me, I'll swap my standard suspension on to it (put all of the good stuff on my car) and your bro can come down, pick it up and sail through rego!
