Is the top of the plate sitting flush on the underside of the strut tower?

Surely if this was true then the plate wouldn't have anywhere to go?

This was the reply from Kmac

"Your pics show the bottom blue alloy clamp plates are warped (where stud connector locates).
Means over tightened. As per instructions tightness required is only 25ft/lbs.
25ft/lbs withstands massive 400lbs of side thrust (3 studs therefore side load of 1200lbs)
Simply remove bottom plates, tap again flat and reinstall at above maximum torque settings""

"From what I see in the pic is that the spring does not sit fully flush on the spring perch which has caused a great load on one area instead of distributing the weight evenly"

Oh and its just not the bottom blue clamp plate that is bent

Getting ready for front brake upgrade. HEL lines, 4000 series 312mm DBA rotors and very rebuilt Audi calipers. Remsa pads too. Hopefully generates a touch more braking potential with less pedal pressure. Building a nice pile of new parts!
