We can't fit the R1R in 16" wheel size as the load rating is too low (83W)... I would have gone them had the load rating been right :) And I have heard they are soft but great in the wet which was something I was looking for... Plan is to rotate them every 5,000kms
I was going to go some S3 copies in 17" but decided that a set of BBS RS wheels in 16" would suit the polo to a tee hence I now have the tyres, just need to wait for the rims to come up :(
Yesterday I got a Parrot MKi9200 Bluetooth car-kit installed. Very cool, allows me to play my iPod through the stock deck, and has a colour LCD and wired microphone, plus a handy little wireless remote that I can adjust volume with etc.
Then this morning I got my H&R Springs put on. Looks awesome. Might wash it this afternoon, so I'll try and post some photos :)
Good stuff... How much was fitting for the H&R's if you don't mind me asking???
Got my old Contis put back on the front due to destroying one of my Federals...Hello wheel spin, but I'm sure my cluch is enjoying having a bit less resistance against it now!!...Met a few people in similar positions at the tyre place where I got the tyres fitted up...Looks like Townsville City Council may be forking over a bit of cash if some of there claims go through.
I'm surprised no one got any damage from that pothole we hit up at Mt Nebo that day... It was a big one :(
Hey Blitz at least you're back on the road! Go get that council!
Very interesting Spec, I have never seen a tyre in 210 size before. I thought they went from 205s to 215s with nothing in between. Probably the ideal size for these cars.
I fitted an APR R1 diverter valve today. I know these are bit more expensive than the Forge DVs but the main attraction is they are zero maintenance where the Forge are not. First impressions are quite impressive. The DV itself looks very well engineered. Although you don't get that BOV hiss, I have found the induction noise or turbo whistle has increased quite noticably. Boost seems to hold very well through the gears and turbo lag is greatly reduced during the shifts. This seems to result in a quicker & smoother acceleration curve and its not quite so jerky anymore. I imagine as the ECU adjusts itself it will only get better. So overall I am quite happy with the purchase and results.
Hmmm... I'll check my tyre placard I am sure it says 87w....
