What did you do to your Polo today?

My Stage 1 clutch clatters. The dual mass is designed to dampen that clatter, but since you've replaced it with a single plate LWFW the noise is very noticeable. i've had the clutch for while now and you learn to ignore it.

ECS 14lb kit - does chatter on idle - and also sounds little bit noisier when it's hot and driven hard. Especially when you have AC on, it feels like a diesel. Otherwise - it's fine, and normal. I did use original bearing as per Jmac's recommendation.

Yep, I'm clearly not a fan of the chatter. I'm getting Camden to take a look at it and decide whether just the bearing or bearing+flywheel will remove the chatter. Since it's my daily I want it nice and smooth - wish I'd known about the chatter before buying that kit.

Which fluid did you go for? Was it difficult to do?
I went into my local VW for a price on some fluid and was told i needed 2 litres at $26 per litre. Then i got home and was wondering why so cheap?!

Really need to change mine soon

I went with Redline MTL. Three bottles is almost $100, but it is 100% worth it. I got one of the workshops down the road to do it and that only cost me $20 so I'm happy with that. I don't think its that hard to change, but I don't have the time or tools to do it.

Do you notice much extra harshness with the newer style LCA rear bushes? And do they have metal surrounds? My older style ones only had plastic surrounds.

I now understand why one of the posters on Briskoda (with a 1.9 TDi like mine) found the SEAT cupra bushes too harsh for his liking - below about 1300rpm and especially below 1000rpm, you really feel extra engine vibrations if there is any load on the engine. It's almost (but not quite) as bad as the polyureathane torque arm bush when driving but thankfully there isn't the ridiculous vibration at idle.

We're looking at going up on the Sunday night to avoid an early morning drive on Monday. Unsure of numbers yet, but will let you know? Are you planning on tracking on Labour day as well?

Lost powersteering over the weekend. Drove back to work to top up the level. that's never a good sign. put the car up on the hoist after work only to find fluid pissing out the O/S boot... New rack will cost $1,000 with only 1 left in the country. To recondition it will cost $720 without knowing whether there is damage internally which will cost more to fix..... FML

And i have the track day on the 17th FML x2

I need new pads as well... FML x3
