About two weeks ago I replaced the worn standard Continental tyres with Bridgestone RE001 Adrenalins.
The left front was almost bald; the others about 85% worn down to the legal limit.
The car is now a fair bit quieter, and so far I'm very happy with these tyres. Good adhesion in the wet. I drive the car in a fairly spirited fashion on the road, no track or racing though. Cost was $220 per corner.
LOTS of placebo mods to be had with vw's, lol.
best one i can think of to date (for me): BMC panel filter. $120 (or something) from autobarn, did sweet fck all for my car, apart from allow the BMC (un)filtered air to act as a sandblaster for my engine for 25,000km's.
Got my window shields delivered. If I can drag myself off the couch I might fit them tonight.
Pics Ryan :)
Slacker Ryan :)! Well Pics when you get around to getting of the couch!
I finished preparing my lower honeycomb grills for installation, hopefully tomorrow I can get them installed.

That's probably about 10 hours worth of work, mainly because I had to do it in small sections whilst watching TV, since I quickly formed some blisters on my fingers from a crappy stanley knife. All in all, they look a hell of a lot better now.
Hats off to you warfuric, I nearly went insane before finishing the Left one lol, the right one only has the horn and air temp sensor behind it, no real extra airflow to the engine bay there :(
Put on a Pod filter and mini pod filter. The induction noise is totally different.
ECU will take a bit to adapt I think.
