I'm happy with a 1'14"0260. i was stuck on 1'15"3 all morning with traffic holding me up. after lunch managed to squeeze a bit more out of it with a 1'15"1. then on the final lap in the final session of the day i cracked the 1'14s. soo happy with the results. now aiming for 1'13s and beyond

FYI the focus XR5 was in fact a Focus RS
1'14"s is awesome, considering the $70k RS was only a couple of 10ths quicker. I have so much respect for Clubracer doing 1'10"s.
What kind of brakes and tyres were you running?
After my first day out on Thursday, I'm keen to get into it more. I found the weakest point in the car was the brakes. After 1 hot lap, they were cooked. The tyres didn't hold out much longer either. I had no official timing on Thursday, but timed myself by re watching the in car camera I had mounted. Are 1'20" ~ 1'22" good times for a car with a APR chip, HR springs and a RSB?

It's Eddy who has done 1:10's in a Polo GTi - that time is Clubracer's target (he has been doing mid-teens with a pretty stock GTi).

Eddy's car OTOH is anything but stock. Here's the direct link to Eddy's mod list for those who can't be bothered searching there
Edd's lastest mod. list.. Not saying Eddy isn't a good driver, though - you need guts, experience and talent to do that time even in a car like his.

    Me too!

Are these heavier than the Bora Sports? I'm so torn because on one hand i love the look o the Bora Sports but they are too heavy and i want something lighter.

Fantastic day yesterday, unfortunately the Polo developed an exhaust leak on the first timed session so power was down for most of the day, but we managed some improved times despite the handicap - myself an 1:11.6 and my mate Cliff a 1:10.9.

Did the Timing belt + a major service. The whole this took about 4.5 hours thanks to the help of Lucas Wasn't the nightmare job I was expecting. Now just got to fiddle with the cam timing to get the 'powerband' back where it was. Might just advance it a bit

Also bought some piping for my front mount install. Finally a bit of fabrication to do

Very happy about it actually - it's fantastic that we can pedal the little Polo to within a second of the sub 1:10 target we are chasing, especially with the exhaust issues we had.

Just bought the Lambo along for fun - spent most of the day doing passenger laps at 8/10ths and don't care about setting scorching lap times and driving the doorhandles off as that's what the Polo is for. I'm also the first to admit that getting quick times out of that car is massively above my driving skill level.

Had great fun in both cars but for very different reasons - and hopefully none of my passengers were upset we only turned 1:10s...!
