It's my first turbo car and I'm starting to think from not only what you've said but from what I've read elsewhere, they need to be driven differently than a NA engine.
I done meant to sound rude, but why have a turbo'ed car and not let it come onto boost?? In all seriousness, if I was looking for better fuel consumption, I would have gone for a Polo 1.6L or 1.9L TDI. I love my little pocket rocket, and love to get the turbo spooled up and playing with the rest of the engine, not just hanging off the exhaust and picking its nose...

I bought a GTI because I like to have fun with my car. But that doesn't mean I've got to bounce it of the limiter every time.

I'm just experimenting, trying to find the sweetspot for gear changes to get the best efficiency for the times when I do just kick back and cruise.

I installed the dash cubby, gloss B-pillars and changed the aerial. All parts from DubAddiction.

I also gave it a first wash! Pics below:

good work! me too. i HATE the crap dealerships put on your car. if you ask me, they need to pay us if they want to put their advertising on OUR cars. i feel especially bad for those who have dealership stickers on the actual car body, usually at the back. i can't see how that should be allowed. i also take off VW stickers and service reminder stickers off all windows. i'm getting my windows tinted soon and i'll be telling tint-a-car not to put their sticker on my window. my car is not an advertising billboard.

I haven't taken off the VW stickers on the back windows yet. Will have to do that before I get it tinted.

Though I did scrub the dealership name off my rear number-plate cover so its now plain black

Thats crud that they stick it to paintwork! I'd ask them to take it off themselves and see how they go about it without damaging duco
especially if its been out in the yard.

    Giallorosso: Thats some good thinkin!
cos i did like the match of the gloss black and gloss of the front grille.
