belated post but i got my red bonnet pinstripes done on monday and it looks awesome, oh and only cost me $30 from a mobile company called AutoArt :D.....will post up pics for that soon.
i am currently waiting for my OEM Sharan Antenna to come through in the mail so hopefully it is at home when i get there... :D
while i have bills to pay off i just pump small amounts into the car on aesthetics....works well for me.!
Took it in to the dealer for the day, results were:
* Rattle in rear right hand side
- needs new sway bar link - on order
* Drivers seat belt height adjuster jammed
- adjuster lug out of alignment - fixed
* Steering column adjuster jammed
- jammed column clamp - lubricated and fixed
* Rear fog light not working
- magically works now (WTF?)
* Hatch keylock not working
- sticky mechanism - lubricated and fixed
* Cruise control lamp not working
- signal fault found in dash module - new dash on order :eek: I hope they don't replace the dash just to find out it wasn't a feature in this model anyway. Maybe they'll put a MFD in ... I wish :biggrin:
* Cup holder spring broken
- forgot to tell them about it :duh:
While they were at it, they found a problem with a wiring loom that causes the oil lamp to flash sometimes when the engine starts. I thought it was just building up oil pressure at startup. New harness on order.
Engine bay has been steam cleaned, and it all looks shiny and new now! :biggrin:
Got a quote to get the paintwork professionally buffed. The guy I was referred to reckons he can get 95% of the scratches out.
That has got to be the longest number plate ever. That's crazy.
Just fitted the SEAT intake and drove to work. The little goer definetely has a bit more go higher up in the rev range. Seems to be less drop off at 5k5 than there was before.
Bloody tight fit and I dropped the f'n screw, had a suitable replacement though. On my old car the screw would've just fallen straight through none of this skid pan crap :P
