finally decided to adjust my gear linkage after fitting the forge short shifter. Smoooooooooooooth
replaced the factory installed battery, which was in the car since Dec '08. it went without warning, and totally flat. had to call a flatbed truck and send to workshop for new battery. replaced with a delkor battery.
first time on a flatbed, so i took a picture, towed from behind. had a good workout wrestling the steering wheel while aligning the car.

My drivers seat folding mechanism stopped working around a month back.
After some really good info from End User (photos and little writeup) I had a good idea where to look. Whilst my issue was slightly different it was the same problem. coin lodged in the wrong place, stoping the release mechanism from holding the seat upright.
Freaking happy to resolve that one for free and so quickly

at idle there is slight rattle from within the gearbox. the dualmass flywheel is meant to eliminate this rattle. it goes away once the clutch pedal is depressed. its noticable but once you get used to it its not much of an issue. any noise related problems can be fixed with the little round knob on the radio :)
