Is there any danger with putting so much more petrol in the tank? I tried it the other day but only once to see if it worked. Didnt know that little thing was there ...

Yes for petrol if you aren't going to use the extra fuel immediately as expansion of the fuel, if it warms, could cause it to flow out of the tank. For a fill up just before you go for a longish drive, it should be fine.
For a diesel (like mine), this isn't an issue.
new wheels are in the country should have fitted next week
hint (ippodromo)
and yes it is an ambiguous clue :D
Received my 312mm front and 280mm rear discs and carriers from ECS tuning :D
Going on the car on saturday. Using the same calipers for now, but will change up to the TT variety when my current pads run out.
From what I read it is certainly possible. I bought the discs from ECS and they seemed to think it would work alright. That whole principle of levers or some such
I'll know for sure come around 4pm saturday I supppose!
Yeah, that increased leverage and disc size should prove considerable/noticable, assuming the mount is solid enough, doesn't flex, etc. Had used to do similar things with the subaru forester, run XT brakes on the GT, marginal increase in size provided a solid improvement in braking ability.
Will follow with interest.
