They seem no worse than the factory wheels. But you are right I would like something lighter it was just a case of budget at the time and I do quite like the design so fair chance later on they will move to my street wheels and I'll find a different set of track wheels. The other thing is the Superturismo's actually clear the 312mm brakes.
Brakes side of it, they weigh a fair bit but I will go a 2 Piece rotor at some stage which should help a bit and once again sometime in the future I might look at a wilwood or similar caliper.
There are one or two, two piece designed rotors around so only trick is finding calipers later on that suit (should be fairly easy) and keeping it under 16" I may go 17's if I have to but would prefer not to.

I just went over 7000km recently too
I thought it was a nicely measured evaluation with worthwhile improvement. Were you expecting fanboi raves?
I'd love to get a set of UltraLeggera's for the weight (they looked OK too!) but the cost sort of goes against the economy aspect of the car

As far as other mods go, I only have the SEAT front solid bushes...
Comments above were my first initial impressions... Overall, the traction both in straight line and around corners has improved a markedly and there is a lot less body roll present. Also, one of my biggest annoyances with the stock suspesnion is that it felt disconnected thru the wheel to the car. This has been greatly improved upon and now you can 'feel' what the car is doing on the road. Also, the wheels now seem to follow the contour of road and not just skittle across the tops of the bumps with little or no damping (the rear especially feels much more planted over mid-corner bumps).
Understeer also seems to have been reduced and turn-in improved to the point where I don't know if a rear sway is required??
Only real negative point is that the ride is quite a bit firmer than stock, which is going to annoy the hell out of my wife!!
Overall I would sum them up as follows:
* Are they worth the trouble of importing form the UK at $1,100 + fitting - Certainly
* Would I pay retail in Australia at ~$2,200 + fitting - No, I would just go with lowered coils and shocks

PS: If you want a quiet ride do not get the competition bush for the dog bone mount if you have the diesel. LOL.
Between that, coilovers and the Seat bushes it has changed the car completely, Much like Spec83, I need to get mine back in now that the suspension is starting to settle to do the wheel alignment and re-set heights.

Nice. It will be interesting to see how the KW's go compared to the AP's, to H&R springs, to stock...
I already have sways, front brace, rear shims and bushes, I'll be replacing the strut mounts and bearings, just on case...
