yeah it does look good. it's black and has been dumped on its guts and sits on 20" chrome rims. chromies aren't really my thing but they look good on the forester gt.

yeah dave bloody oath its illegal. he has been very lucky though. he has owned the car for over 2 years now and never been pulled over for the tint. i suppose police have bigger fish to fry than to waste their time with someones window tint.

i was happy when i found out my car was already 35% tinted because i want everything to be legal on my car (apart from dual port BOV :nana:). at least its not sticking out of the bonnet so police can see it.

got myself a tow bar cover. :)

i took mine for a fang around the 'burbs while it was raining to test the grip of the nankangs. they held up pretty good.

Bought a replacement battery cover cause mine was missing when I got the car.

Even though I quoted the VIN, and the dealer sourced the appropriate part, it doesn't fit :mad:

Now that's just weird ... I was told by my dealer that the Polo GTI didn't come with a battery cover when I asked. :frown:

The real early polos came with battery covers. (November 05 to March 06 ish) They wont fit the current battery setup..

Hey don't worry about it. Just before I bought my GTI I took my 06 lancer in to mitsubishi for it's 15000km service (my sister was getting it and i wanted it to be all sorted so she didn't have to do it), and it cost me $540.00! :eek: I thought mitsubishi's were sposed to be cheap to service. It's actually going to be cheaper to have the polo serviced when I'm paying those prices!!

From what you've said, it might not have one at all (Aug 06 Build). I'd better go and get my $20 back from the dealer.

I got red pinstripes added to my black bonnet, and added a new sticker to the rear. Also added my short antenna and Dash Cubby on Thursday.
