Pulling out my MAF last night and cleaned it in an isopropyl alcohol solution (ie. zip bag full of the stuff, then shaken around to remove oil/contaminants from the filaments).
Not sure if it's done anything... did feel smoother idling this morning but that could have been the placebo effect.
Edit: Also picked up new vacuum lines to replace a few that are looking worn.

If your line to your Fuel pressure reg is leaking then you will get more fuel and not less. It wont ping with that. Fuel is crap here and if its intermittant then i could be just the fuel. Have it scanned to see how much timing is being pulled by the ecu. And of coarse have the thing smoke tested, cant stress the smoke test enough, if it doesnt leak then you have NO secondary air.Quote:

Got my Bilstein B8 shocks and Weitec springs installed
and also changed Lower control arm and Anti-row bar bushes!
and now my GTI is very response to my command!
