Had a poke around my exhaust to see what is loose.
Found what appears to be the bolts joining the manifold to the turbo are UBER loose, attempted to tighten down but still a major leak somewhere
Doe anyone have a picture of the exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe and how they are bolted together?
Continued to prep my wheels for a respray.... Man they were dirty and cleaning them has been time consuming.
Also playing with Adaptation settings, again... There is more to be had from my car...
There are some pics in there threads...

Thanx blitzen
i already read through both of them and google too.
It just sucks that it happened right on a long weekend. [not the first time] Can't contact anyone for solutions/fixes
Tried to diagnose the intermittant pinging I'm getting.
It's not consistent, doesn't happen on particularly hot days, doesn't happen after strapping it for an hour around a mountain, just occasionally kicks in in 3rd/4th when merging onto highways (and not neccisarily after slow or stop/start driving), leading me to believe that heat isn't the issue.
So, naturally I'm checking injectors/fuel filter/fuel etc. all today. Just need to source a new fuel filter because it's probably about time I did that anyway.
Vag-com is your friend. I'm just using a basic ebay cable, for $30, you can see a lot.
Just by logging channel 020 you can see if your timing is being pulled or if its happening on one cyl only.
How are you checking your injectors and fueling?
Changed the A/C filter, engine oil, fuel filter, washed the K&N filter,
fixed the rattle sound coming out from dash board and gave it a detail wash~
wow~ like new now!
Yeah, going to vag-com it.
Looking over things, I've got the feeling it might be caused by tapping onto the fuel pressure regulator line for my electronic boost gauge. I'm going to buy a new line for the regulator and piggyback the boost gauge line off the N75 line.
