Just fitted my old Pioneer head unit into my POG
keeping speakers stock for the time being, but it sound better already.
Will be installing amps, subs and speakers, but too hot at the moment, may wait a few months.

Washed my car in readiness for tomorrows cruise...Also inspected an ominous sound from my diff...Sounds like excessive backlash in the diff...Car is going in for a 60k service on wednesday, so will talk to them then.
realised the lower grill on the intak side fell off..... found it down the block from my house :(
Installed the Seat Intake today. What can I say "WOW". Feel stronger through the rev range and the car feel so much more responsive. I have to keep telling myself to slow down or I'll get a ticket.
Going to drop the car in to get the rear control arm and dog mount installed this Wednesday. Hopefully the Whiteline RSB arrives before then and I can get it all three in the one hit. :banana:
Gave it a wash and took it for a run in the hills on the Nerang-Murwillumbah Rd.
First time out in the twisties since it was chipped. The extra mid-range torque in third gear is awesome coming out of corners. :thumbup:
driving along on parramatta rd, then my rear driver wheel started making a loud noise (the quicker i drive). I pulled over and saw a screw nailed my rubber. To my amazement it took me less than 10mins to put the new spare tyre on the car. Sad to see the brand new spare tyre on.
Need a new set of rubber.
the really strange thing, the Tyre pressure light didn't come on (i drove more than 800m after it got punctured) but after the new tyre got put on, 5mins after driving the light came on.
Nothing strange about that, 800 meters with the nail still in it wouldn't have lost much air, if any at all. But the new tyre would have been different, it will almost always come on after changing wheels/tyres.Quote:

ahh cheers for that. well i know that the tyre pressure system is working.
Ordered a shark fin antenna to replace my stock item.
The rubber gasket around the bottom of mine has cracked and come apart, and it worked out cheaper to go for a shark fin antenna than to replace the unit with a stock VW part.
I'll put up a fitment guide when I get it.
