    Unhappy waxx

    hey guys
i tried to wax my car..but i had never done it before and i didnt know what i was doing and i just read the instructions on the back of the wax tin. I didnt read the bit which said not to use on surfaces which aren't metal.
Anyways so now i have these ugly white marks on the non-metal bits and ive tried to wash it off, scrub off with a sponge, scratch off...
    and it won't come off!
do you guys have any tips?
    thnx

AutoGlym have a bumper restoration polish. That should solve your problem. They are about $25 a bottle from Autotobarn.

    OK some left field suggestions.

Try a pencil eraser, and if that doesnt work, peanut butter.

    Any trim detailer will work.

I'll have to try a pencil eraser. Sounds good in theory.

Yeah you will always get some on the bumpers (well I do anyway), I have used the Meguiars gold Class detailer and it worked a treat. Just dont rub that onto the paint!

I had the same issue. I used a hard scrubbing brush to firstly losen it all and then put all the plastic trims in the dish washer. Worked a treat!

Stock WRX is about the same as a chipped Polo GTI. A stock Golf GTI will be just behind that. A chipped Golf GTI should leave it well behind.
