    Warranty Work

    Mornin' all,

    Please excuse the n00b question
The Pogo is my first new car so i am a bit new to all of this. I've had a number of rattles come and go and ive tried to have this addressed with the dealer where i purchased the car. They don't seem to be doing much to assist really. Am i obliged to use the same dealer for warranty work? Or will any VW dealer service centre be able to rectify these problems?

I also wondering if i am being too picky, sometimes it feels like i am sitting in a freakin baby's rattle or something, i get rattles behind the stereo, rear left interior trim panel, the ceiling light and sometimes get squeaky seat springs.

Apart from that i love the damn thing

    Cheers

i had a window rattle and they refused to look at it under warranty. They claimed that the window tinting wasnt done by them so the "tint" person stuffed it up. They claimed that he would have taken off the door panel and done something which isnt true.

They try weezle their way out of everything

I've noticied a minor paint defect in the bonnet, as well as annoying rattles which appear to be coming from under the rear window sections.

I know the Polo GTI is assembled in Spain so I wonder if that has anything to do with the quality control, as unfair as that sounds.

Mine has developed a slight driver's window rattle since the Cruise on June 3. You'd think it would love to be among other dubs.

Well i am gonna have a bit of a ring around to try and get something sorted out.

Its hard for me to get time off work, ive left the car at the service centre a couple of times now, explained all the problems, left for work and then get a call flat out denying that the problems exist or the old "thats a characteristic of this particular model"

Another one that worries me is the air con - does anyone else get a bit of a strange whining sound when they engine break?

I guess at the end of the day these things are built to a cost, compromises need to be made, and because of that tolerances are increased and the quality of the product suffers.

I had my Accord Euro in the service centre 3 times for some extremely annoying intermittent door rattles... so welcome to the club. In the end it got to a pretty good level though. As I got an extended Honda warranty any Honda dealer could have a go at it, however it shouldn't need to rely on that anyway. The repair shop will be able to bill the manufacturer regardless..

My polo has a few creaking noises, mainly due to the whole chassis feeling a bit softer than the euro? However no annoying rattles fortunately. Aircon is definitely noisy as, whistling some odd tune... Euro is a lot more quiet all up so I think road and exhaust noise would mask a lot of stuff in the Polo.

happened to me... complained about a squeeky chair; they came back to me saying they couldn't find the problem - and from that day on, it hasn't made any noises...
